Innocence Canada is the only national non-profit organization dedicated to identifying, advocating for, and working to exonerate individuals who have been wrongfully convicted of serious crimes (generally homicides). Over the last 30 years, we have successfully exonerated 31 people who were wrongly convicted of crimes that they did not commit.  We are a national leader in public education and legal reform, regularly lending our expertise to academic institutions, the criminal justice system, government bodies and other legal entities.

Manager, Education

DESCRIPTION:

Position: Manager, Education

Location: Hybrid out of our Toronto office

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: Executive Director

Salary: Starting salary of $85,000-$95,000, based on experience

YOUR ROLE: We are seeking a manager to lead the development, oversight, and implementation of Innocence Canada’s Education program. They will build and develop programs to educate key actors in our criminal justice system across Canada on the realities of a wrongful conviction, and equip service providers, teachers, and people working in communities with the language, tools and knowledge to inform the people they serve about wrongful convictions. The Manager ensures program execution, support of partner organizations, and expansion of impact across diverse communities throughout the country.
